Assertiveness Skills

Program Overview

By developing assertiveness skills we enable our personal power and learn to interact in an open and honest way. We can identify how and why we are reacting to a given situation and then choose the most appropriate response.
In this one-day program, participants learn to acknowledge their right to express their real feelings and have them heard. In addition, empathetic listening skills will be taught as a means of generating mutual understanding and co-operative outcomes in both personal and work-based relationships.

  • Describe the three elements of the triune brain and how they effect our behaviour
  • Recognise the characteristics of effective communication

  • Reduce stress and anxiety by effectively confronting difficult situations
  • Recognise manipulative behaviour and know appropriate ways to deal with it
